Nitrogen [ Return towards  Standard gases  ]

Mainly in the atmosphere, the nitrogen constitutes 78% of the air which we breath.

Under gaseous shape, it is neutral, colorless and tasteless, not flammable.

It is an inert gas which does not maintain the life.

It is usually used for the following applications:

  • inerting,
  • food freezing,
  • cryo-conservation,
  • metals heat treatment,
  • pneumatic transport,
  • etc.
